SUBJECT:      CITY PROPERTY AND FINANCE COMMITTEE MEETING

You are requested to attend a joint  meeting of the City Council City Property Committee and Finance Committee, to be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2019, at 5:45 p.m. in the City Council Office, Room 303, City Hall, 137 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, RI.

 

The purpose of this meeting is for discussion and/or consideration of the following:

 

1.     Public Input Period.

 

2.     Communication from Gerard Charbonneau, Chair, Pawtucket School Committee, to Council President, David P. Moran, Council President.  (Interest in Purchasing of St. Leo’s Church)

 

3.     RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF PAWTUCKET TO ENTER INTO A PURCHASE AND SALE AGREEMENT WITH THE DIOCESE OF PROVIDENCE FOR THE FORMER ST. LEO THE GREAT CHURCH AND RECTORY LOCATED ON CENTRAL AVENUE.

 

A portion of this meeting may be held in Executive Session pursuant to § 42-46-4 and § 42-46-5 (A)(5) of the General Laws of the State of Rhode Island regarding the acquisition or lease of real property for public purposes, or of the disposition of publicly held property.

 

This meeting is being called by Councilor Wildenhain, Chair of the City Property Committee and Councilor Barry, Chair of the Finance Committee.
