You are requested to attend a joint meeting of the City Council Substance Abuse Prevention/DARE Fund Committee and City Council Recreation Committee to be held on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at 5:30 p.m., in the City Council Office, Room 303, 3rd Floor, City Hall, 137 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, Rhode Island.
The purpose of this meeting will be discussion and/or consideration of the following:
1. Public Input Period
2. Communication from Larry Holloway, to the Substance Abuse/DARE Fund Committee Members. (Requesting Funds for Backboards for Pawtucket Summer Basketball League)
3. Communication from Timothy McGrath, Assistant Coach, Charles E. Shea High School, to the Substance Abuse/DARE Fund Committee. (Request for $10,000 for Field Equipment)
4. Communication from Fairlawn Cardinals Youth Football and Cheer, to the Substance Abuse/DARE Fund Committee. (Requesting approximately $4,200 for Proper Safety Equipment)
5. Communication from Paul King, Chief of Police, to the Honorable Members of the Pawtucket City Council. (Support of FY2018 Request for Safety Programs)
6. Communication from Joanna L’Heureux, Finance Director, to the Substance Abuse/DARE Fund Committee. (Request for $40,000 for the FY2018 Budget for Safety Programs)
This meeting is being called by Councilor Albert J Vitali, Jr., Chair of the City Council Substance Abuse Prevention/D.A.R.E. Committee and Councilor Terrence E. Mercer, Chair of the Recreation Committee.
