You are requested to attend a joint meeting of the City Council Ordinance Committee and Finance Committee, to be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2016, at 5:50 p.m. in the City Council Office, Room 303, City Hall, 137 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, RI.

 

The purpose of this meeting is for discussion and/or consideration of the following:

 

1.   Public Input Period.

 

2.   Review of a discrepancy on the COLA benefits for police and firefighter widows between a resolution approved on June 8, 2006 and ordinance Chapter 2836, which was passed on December 15, 2006.

 

3.   Communication from Joanna L’Heureux, Finance Director, to the Honorable Members of the Pawtucket City Council.  (Response – COLA’s for Widows)

 

4.   Communication from Frank J. Milos, Jr., Esq., City Solicitor, to Councilor Thomas E. Hodge.  (Response – Federal Lawsuit – COLA’s)

 

5.   Communication from Frank J. Milos, Jr., Esq., City Solicitor, to Richard J. Goldstein, MMC, City Clerk.  (Status and Pending Issues -  Pawtucket Public Safety Retirees v. City of Pawtucket, et al CA No: 15-26S)

 

 

A portion of this meeting may be held in Executive Session pursuant to § 42-46-4 and § 42-46-5 (A)(2) of the General Laws of the State of Rhode Island regarding pending litigation.
