A regular session of the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners was held Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at 6:52 p.m., in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 137 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, RI. 
Present – President Mercer, Councilors Araujo, Coderre, Gregor, Moran, Moreno, Rubio, Stachowiak and Wildenhain.
Absent – 0.
Chairperson Mercer presided.
The reading of the records of May 10, 2023 was dispensed with and the records were APPROVED as prepared by the Clerk,

Mr. Rodriguez states that there will be no auto body work.
He will run the business the same as before.

THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR WILDENHAIN.
Councilor Wildenhain states that several stipulations, which were placed on the license by the Zoning Board, were not included on the docket for this meeting. Therefore, he will move that the hearing be continued and the application be postponed until June 7, 2023, so that the stipulations may be posted on the docket. The stipulations include:
SPECIAL CONDITIONS PER ZONING BOARD.
1. No auto body work or motorcycle repair shall be permitted, only auto repair shall be permitted.
2. All used engine parts, transmission parts, muffler parts, tail gate parts and/or similar mechanical objects shall be stored in the garage. All rubbish shall be stored in a clean and orderly manner and shall be removed from the site a least once a month.
3. Hours of operation Permitted is 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday thru Saturday and closed on Sundays.
4. All work conducted on the vehicles shall be performed inside the garage.
5. The operation must obtain a repair shop license from the City.
6. Sub-letting of the building shall not be permitted.
7. No unregistered vehicles shall be stored on the property.
8. No tires (used or new) stored outside.
Upon motion made by Councilor Wildenhain, seconded by Councilor Araujo, the following petition for license was POSTPONED and the hearing was CONTINUED until June 7, 2023, on a unanimous voice vote:

The previous owners are his parents.
He is trying to clean-up the debris in the back.

Mr. Horan states that the restaurant is in a shopping plaza on East Avenue.
Mr. Sugarman states that this restaurant will be a Jewish Deli.
Everything with be done in-house.
He would like to add beer and wine.
He is expecting to open within 4 to 5 months.
There will be up to 30 employees, full and part time.
Mr. Sugarman worked all his life in the restaurant business.

Mr. DaSilva has eight years of experience in the restaurant business.
There are no fire issues; they have a fire system for hookah.
They will have three security people on duty and there will be a dress code. There is outdoor seating. There are five people working in the kitchen and serving. They will be tips certified.
He will expand the menu.
Mr. DaSilva worked at the Convention Center, the Biltmore Hotel and other places.

Mr. Soto does private towing, but he doesn’t keep towed cars on the lot.
