A regular session of the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners is held Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at 7:03 p.m., in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 137 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, RI.

 

Present – President Mercer, Councilors Araujo, Coderre, Gregor, Moran, Moreno, Rubio, Stachowiak and Wildenhain.

 

Absent – 0.

 

Chairperson Mercer presides.

 

The reading of the records of December 21, 2022 is dispensed with and the records are APPROVED as prepared by the Clerk,

She has 6000 subscription members and 200 members in Oakhill.

 

The menu changes weekly. They have food delivery.

 

They will have a limited menu for some take-out and in-house seating.

 

This will be their first physical restaurant.

 

The liquor will be for in-house and take-out.

 

There are no other speakers. The hearing is closed.

Speaking on behalf of the establishment is Ralph Garner, 33 Olympia Avenue, Pawtucket, RI., license holder.

 

Mrs. Garner states that the incident in October was a domestic argument between an unmarried man and woman.  The man grabbed the woman out of the ladies’ room, then they argued. They got the two of them outside, where they started wrestling on the ground.  There was an injury to the woman’s hand.

 

Mr. Garner is not sure who called the police.

 

Mr. Garner states that he likes to handle matters in-house.  However, if they need to eject patrons. They then call police.

 

There are no other speakers.

 

The informal hearing is closed, and no action is taken.
