A regular session of the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners was held Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at 5:52 p.m., in the Jenks/JMW Complex for the Performing and Visual Arts Media Center, 350 Division Street, Pawtucket, RI.

 

Present – President Mercer, Councilors Araujo, Gregor, Moran, Moreno, Rubio, Stachowiak and Wildenhain.

 

Absent – Councilor Coderre.

 

Chairperson Mercer presided.

 

The reading of the records of December 6, 2023 was dispensed with and the records were APPROVED as prepared by the Clerk, Video

 

 

Upon motion made by Councilor Araujo, seconded by Councilor Wildenhain, the *Consent Agenda was APPROVED, on a unanimous voice vote. Video

THE CHAIR RECOGNIZED COUNCILOR RUBIO.

 

With majority consent of the Council, the following motion made by Councilor Rubio, seconded by Councilor Moreno, was PASSED on a unanimous voice vote:

 

The Clerk was instructed to issue a summons to Mangos Hookah Lounge, 15 Exchange Street, to appear at a FORMAL HEARING on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, for the following reasons:

 

1.  On or about December 15, 2023: Failure to maintain control of patrons and/or employees, agents; and/or endangering the health, safety and welfare of the general public; and/or permitting the house or place where you are licensed to sell beverages under the provisions of Title 3 of the General Laws to become disorderly as to annoy and disturb the persons inhabiting or residing in the neighborhood; and/or permitting any of the laws of this state or ordinances of this city to be violated. (See attached report.) (Violation of R.I. Gen. Laws § 3-5-23).

 

 

 

Upon motion made by Councilor Araujo, seconded by Councilor Wildenhain, the meeting was adjourned at 6:00 p.m.
