A regular session of the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners is held Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at 6:50 p.m., via videoconference on ZOOM during the COVID-19 pandemic, per Governor’s orders up to and including 21-59.

Everyone is TIPS certified. There will be two employees in the kitchen, one at the bar and one server. Only 20 people at a time are allowed in the restaurant.
Ms. Duque has run a restaurant, but this is her first time as an owner.

She asks if they can close at 9:00 p.m. She is not comfortable with liquor license because children live nearby.

Mr. Reynolds askes who owns the building.
Ms. Duque stated that Mr. Velasco owns the building.
Mr. Reynolds asks who will run the business.
Ms. Duque states that it will be her family business; someone from the family will be there at all times.
Mr. Reynolds asks about entertainment.
Ms. Duque states that there will be no live entertainment, just music through speakers.
Mr. Reynolds askes about parking. He notes that they need five spots.
Ms. Duque stated that they have three spaces on Grand Avenue and two on Suffolk Avenue. They will check to make sure the cars are not blocking any driveways.
Mr. Reynolds does not approve of the liquor license.
The next speaker is Ronald Allard, 166 Suffolk Avenue.
He is concerned about parking. There are two and three family houses nearby. Several cars park on the street.
He heard that there was police problem prior at the prior location. Do not want problems here.
Ms. Duque stated that she had fire and smoke issues at prior place, but not police issues.
