A regular session of the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners is held Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at 6:53 p.m., via videoconference on ZOOM during the COVID-19 pandemic, per Governor’s orders up to and including 21-72.

The Clerk is instructed to send a communication to the RI Department of Health and to the RI Division of Taxation regarding smoking bars allowed under the Public Health and Workplace Safety Act.  Specifically, they are asking if Hookah bars are considered smoking bars under the Act and are subject to the tobacco generated revenue requirements and other requirements listed in RIGL Sec. 23-20.10-2 (20).  If so, who is enforcing these regulations?

 

The Clerk is requested to send a copy of this communication to the Pawtucket General Assembly Delegation.
