A regular session of the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners is held Wednesday, January 8, 2020, at 7:32 p.m., in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 137 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, RI.  

 

Present – Chairperson Moran, Councilors Araujo, Barry, Kallman, Mercer, Rudd, Vasquez, Vitali and Wildenhain.

 

Absent – 0.

 

Chairperson Moran presides.

 

 

The reading of the records of December 16, 2019 is dispensed with and the records are APPROVED as prepared by the Clerk.

Mr. Lough states that Ms. Noriega owns Emily’s Restaurant in Johnston and she owned a restaurant in North Providence.

 

She is taking over Perry’s Liquors.

 

She is working with Mr. Perry during the transition and she will be evaluating the existing employees.

 

Ms. Noriega states that the hours of operation will be the same.

 

She bought the property and will rent out the unit above the store.

Mr. Towner is making improvements to the building and the neighborhood is very happy with that.

With majority consent of the Council, the following motion made by Councilor Rudd, seconded by Councilor Wildenhain, is PASSED on a unanimous voice vote:

 

The Clerk is instructed to issue a summons to Dollar Tree #07899, 342 Power Road, to appear at an INFORMAL HEARING on Wednesday, February 5, 2020, for the following reasons:

 

1. Issues regarding debris, litter and maintenance of the dumpster.
