A regular session of the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners is held Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at 7:10 p.m., in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 137 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, RI.

Present – Chairperson Moran, Councilors Araujo, Barry, Kallman, Mercer, Rudd, Vitali and Wildenhain.

Absent – Councilor Vasquez.

Chairperson Moran presides.

The reading of the records of April 24, 2019 is dispensed with and the records are APPROVED as prepared by the Clerk.

Communication from Best Beverage, to the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners, objecting to the transfer of Class A Liquor License of Bela Vista Liquors (S D Phy, LLC) to Bela Vista Liquors (P & N, LLC) 593 Weeden Street, in the amount of $1,544.00.

Speaking in favor is Michael Horan, 393 Armistice Boulevard, Pawtucket, RI, Attorney for applicant.

Also present is Channy Yoeurn, 374 Pine Street, Lowell, MA, applicant.

Attorney Horan states that Channy Yoeurn is working at the store now to learn the business from the current owner who will continue to work there for now.

Ms. Yoeurn states that she does have business experience.

The hours will be the same.

She will work there plus one employee.

Speaking in favor is Sonia Och, 7 Lenox Street, Beverley, MA, applicant.

She has concerns about selling cigarettes with people using paper I.D’s. She was advised to get together with Captain Newman to answer any questions she may have.
