A regular session of the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners is held Monday, October 11, 2017, at 6:58 p.m., in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 137 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, RI.  

 

Present – Chairperson Moran, Councilors Barry, Kallman, Mercer, Tetreault, Vitali and Wildenhain.

 

Absent – Councilors Cano and Rudd.

 

Chairperson Moran presides.

He will be open in 3 weeks.

 

The next speaker is Janet Pouliot, 43 Buffum Street, Pawtucket, RI.

 

Ms. Pouliot wants the fencing to be fixed in the back of the parking lot.  People drive through her property to get to the restaurant.

 

Mr. McCreavy states that he will put up a new fence before he opens the restaurant.

 

The next speaker is Dagoberto Valiente, 12 Tower Street, Pawtucket, RI.

 

Mr. Valiente also wants the fence to be replaced near his house; the old fence was removed about three years ago, but not replaced.

 

Mr. Valiente states that people throw trash into his yard.

With majority consent of the Council, the following motion made by Councilor Barry, seconded by Councilor Wildenhain, is PASSED on a unanimous voice vote:

 

The Clerk is instructed to issue a summons to Lima’s Lounge (Lima’s Lounge LLC) 110 School Street, to appear at a FORMAL HEARING on Wednesday, November 8, 2017, for the following reasons:

 

 

1. On or about February 18, 2017:  Failure to maintain control of patrons and/or employees, agents; and/or endangering the health, safety and welfare of the general public; and/or permitting the house or place where you are licensed to sell beverages under the provisions of Title 3 of the General Laws to become disorderly as to annoy and disturb the persons inhabiting or residing in the neighborhood; and/or permitting any of the laws of this state or ordinances of this city to be violated. 3.   On or about June 10, 2017:  Failure to maintain control of patrons and/or employees, agents; and/or endangering the health, safety and welfare of the general public; and/or permitting the house or place where you are licensed to sell beverages under the provisions of Title 3 of the General Laws to become disorderly as to annoy and disturb the persons inhabiting or residing in the neighborhood; and/or permitting any of the laws of this state or ordinances of this city to be violated. 4.  On or about September 2, 2017:  Failure to maintain control of patrons and/or employees, agents; and/or endangering the health, safety and welfare of the general public; and/or permitting the house or place where you are licensed to sell beverages under the provisions of Title 3 of the General Laws to become disorderly as to annoy and disturb the persons inhabiting or residing in the neighborhood; and/or permitting any of the laws of this state or ordinances of this city to be violated. 5.  On or about September 16, 2017:  Failure to maintain control of patrons and/or employees, agents; and/or endangering the health, safety and welfare of the general public; and/or permitting the house or place where you are licensed to sell beverages under the provisions of Title 3 of the General Laws to become disorderly as to annoy and disturb the persons inhabiting or residing in the neighborhood; and/or permitting any of the laws of this state or ordinances of this city to be violated. 6.  On or about September 23, 2017:  Failure to maintain control of patrons and/or employees, agents; and/or endangering the health, safety and welfare of the general public; and/or permitting the house or place where you are licensed to sell beverages under the provisions of Title 3 of the General Laws to become disorderly as to annoy and disturb the persons inhabiting or residing in the neighborhood; and/or permitting any of the laws of this state or ordinances of this city to be violated. 7.  On or about October 7, 2017:  Failure to maintain control of patrons and/or employees, agents; and/or endangering the health, safety and welfare of the general public; and/or permitting the house or place where you are licensed to sell beverages under the provisions of Title 3 of the General Laws to become disorderly as to annoy and disturb the persons inhabiting or residing in the neighborhood; and/or permitting any of the laws of this state or ordinances of this city to be violated. 9.  Operating under Lima’s Lounge LLC when the Rhode Island Secretary of State revoked the authority for this entity to transact business in this state on June 8, 2016.  (see attached revocation certificate)
