A regular session of the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners is held Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at 7:32 p.m., in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 137 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, RI.  Video

 

Present – Chairperson Moran, Councilors Barry, Cano, Mercer, Rudd, Tetreault, Vitali and Wildenhain.

Mr. Lopez is working on issues with the property owner.

 

The hours will be Monday thru Saturday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

 

There are no employees other than him.

 

He is working on registered cars and he has one unregistered vehicle on the lot.

 

 

Also speaking is Jeff Calista, 31 Daggett Avenue, Pawtucket, RI, property owner.

 

Mr. Calista states that there is no agreement or lease.

 

 

 

 

He asked Mr. Lopez to do 3 to 4 things and they are not done yet:

 

  1. There is money owned by the current licensee.
  2. Unregistered vehicles on the property that belong to the current licensee.
  3. Concerns on workers comp.
  4. Concerns about the number of the cars on the lot. Now there are 20, which he thinks is too many.

 

Mr. Calista believes that most problems are with the current licensee.  He is trying to evict current licensee.

 

He wants the matter to be postponed.

 

Mr. Lopez will do work inside.

 

There are no other speakers.

 

The hearing is recessed.

 

Upon motion made by Councilor Wildenhain, seconded by Councilor Barry, the following license is POSTPONED and the public hearing is continued until May 24, 2017, on a unanimous voice vote:
