A regular session of the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners is held Wednesday, February 8, 2017, at 8:37 p.m., in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 137 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, RI.  Video

 

Present – Chairperson Moran, Councilors Barry, Cano, Kallman, Mercer, Rudd, Tetreault, Vitali and Wildenhain.

 

Absent – 0.

 

Chairperson Moran presides.

With majority consent of the Board, the following motion made by Councilor Wildenhain, seconded by Councilor Rudd, is PASSED on a unanimous voice vote:

 

The Clerk is instructed to send a communication to Boulevard Banquet Hall II, to remind them of their responsibility to clean up their establishment after patrons leave at night.  The Councilor has been receiving complaints about the cleanliness of the property.

 

 

 

 

A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE FOLLOWING APPLICATION FOR LICENSE, WHICH WAS ADVERTISED FOR A HEARING AT THIS TIME, IS TAKEN UP:

 

SECOND HAND SHOP (Class C – Used Miscellaneous Merchandise) New – Video

 

A & C Mattress and Furniture (Debarros, Artur) 274 Broadway, LIC#12188

 

Speaking in favor is Artur Debarros, 11 Clark Avenue, Pawtucket, RI, applicant.

 

Mr. Debarros states that he has worked for a company that does a similar business.

 

He plans to sell quality furniture at good prices.

 

The hours will be 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., five or six days a week.

 

Everything will be stored inside.

 

Only Mr. Debarros and his wife will be working there for now.

 

The business is next to Doyle Manor.

 

He will have a small truck to deliver the furniture.

 

There are no other speakers.

 

The Hearing is closed.

Upon motion made by Councilor Mercer, seconded by Councilor Barry, the following license is APPROVED, on a unanimous voice vote:
