A regular session of the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners is held Wednesday, October 21, 2015, at 7:44 p.m., in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 137 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, RI.

 

Present – Councilors Barry, Bray, Hodge, Mercer, Rudd, Tetreault and Wildenhain.

 

Absent – Chairperson Moran and Councilor Cano

 

Vice Chairperson Hodge presides.

Speaking in favor is Cindy Michelle Flores and Jose Flores, 1 Windmill Street, Pawtucket, RI, applicants.

 

Also present is Eufrosina Pacheco, 40 Lighthouse View Drive, Middletown, RI.

 

Ms. Pacheco states that the Flores has lived in Pawtucket all their lives.

 

They plan to run a family restaurant.

 

They only want a beer and wine license.

 

Ms. Flores states that her mother will be involved.  She and her husband are getting their food manager’s license.  They are going to bartender school.

 

She states that there will be no music, DJ, or dancing at the establishment.

 

The building is where La Vaca Flaca used to be.

 

The hours will be Monday thru Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 in the afternoon, and Saturday till 4:00 or 5:00 p.m.

 

They are aware of concerns at the former establishment.

 

Councilor Rudd notes that the applicants have agreed to a beer and wine only license.

 

There are no other speakers.

 

The Hearing is closed.
