A regular session of the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners is held Wednesday, January 7, 2015, at 6:59 p.m., in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 137 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, RI.

 

Present – Chairperson Moran, Councilors, Barry, Bray, Cano, Hodge, Mercer, Rudd, Tetreault and Wildenhain.

 

Absent – 0.

 

Chairperson Moran presides.

 

The reading of the records of December 18, 2014 is dispensed with and the records are APPROVED as prepared by the Clerk.

Mr. Medeiros will be the only one working there at first; there is room for three tattoo artists.  This is first time he has owned a tattoo parlor.  He has his state licenses.

 

His grandmother, Geraldine Arruda will own the shop.

There will be no change in the signage, except for the business name.  He will have 1 to 2 employees.  The hours will be 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday thru Friday and a half day on Saturday.

 

Mr. Perrotta owns a commercial garage in Providence.

 

He will do cosmetic upgrades at Harris Street.

 

He is into classic cars.

Mr. Craveiro states that they are leasing the property.

 

There will be breakfast and lunch every day.  On Friday and Saturday they will also have dinner and entertainment.  It will cater to the Portuguese community. There will be Fardo night, which is Portuguese classical music.

 

There are 12 parking spaces on property and about three more on Mineral Spring Avenue.

 

Ms. Berto states that there are only 42 seats in the place.

 

Mr. Craveiro states that the business will be open until 10:00 p.m.

 

Ms. Berto had TIPS certificate, but now it is lapsed.  She will renew the certificate.  Mr. Craveiro will be getting TIPS certified.
