A regular session of the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners is held Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at 7:15 p.m., in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 137 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, RI.
Present – Chairperson Moran, Councilors Barros, Barry, Hodge, Mercer, Rudd, Tetreault, Vitali and Wildenhain.

Mr. Blancy states that they are trying to close on this business by the end of the month. They will then hire an architect to design and remodel. During this time they will be closed for 3-4 months.
Councilor Mercer confirms that that they have also run Murphy’s Law for the past two years now in Pawtucket.
Councilor Mercer states that he has spoken with Councilor Barry, and Councilor Barry has stated that they have run a business (Murphy’s Law) that is a great addition to his district. Councilor Mercer is looking forward to the same.
Upon questioning from Councilor Barros, Mr. Blancy states that they will be an Irish Pub and they will also be serving coal fire pizza.
Upon questioning from Council President Moran regarding entertainment, Mr. Hyde states that they will have some acoustic music and jazz. There will be no bands.
Mr. Bigos asks that if the Council approves this transfer, that it be conditional upon closing.
Councilor Barry congratulates Mr. & Mrs. Furtado for running a great business in the City of Pawtucket.

Mr. Kitsilis states that they feel this location is the perfect setting. He states that he also owns Angelo’s in Cumberland, with his family.
Councilor Barros states that he has visited his establishment in Cumberland and is very familiar with the establishment on Thayer Street. He has every confidence that this will be a great asset to the City.

He states that Carlos’ father, who is the principal in the business, is present at this time if there are any further questions.
Councilor Barry states that he apologizes for the conflicting reports regarding issues in Providence. He states that at the last public hearing there was a neighbor who works late and needs her rest. He states that if there are any disturbances or complaints from the neighbors there will be a police detail assigned. Councilor Barry states that this is a very clear warning.
