A regular session of the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners is held Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at 6:51 p.m., in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 137 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, RI.
Present – Chairperson Moran, Councilors Barros, Barry, Hodge, Mercer, Rudd, Tetreault, Vitali and Wildenhain.
Absent – 0.
Chairperson Moran presides.
The reading of the records of June 5, 2013 is dispensed with and the records are APPROVED as prepared by the Clerk.

Present are applicants Ann Marie Pedro and Steven Hedden, 11 Vireo Street, North Providence, RI, and Steven Gomes and Jillian Gomes, 155 Warren Avenue, Pawtucket, RI
Ms. Pedro distributes the proposed business plan. This will be a full-service sports bar. She states that they spoke to the neighbors and businesses that attended a neighborhood meeting.
The hours of operation will be will be 1:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.
Councilor Rudd feels that that this will be a positive addition to the community.
Councilor Mercer questions whether they have spoken with the owners of the parking lot at Tiffany Plaza.
Ms. Pedro states that they will be following up with Tiffany Plaza and are also going to address the lighting in the side parking lot to make it safer.
They want the neighbors to be happy.
There are no other speakers.

Communication from Paul J. Pisano, Esq., to the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners, objecting to the transfer of Class BV Liquor License of Corina’s Pub Inc., d/b/a Corina’s Pub, to Jass, LLC d/b/a Game Day Sports Bar, 584 Smithfield Avenue, in the total amount of $137.80.
Upon motion made by Councilor Rudd, seconded by Councilor Barry, the following communication is READ AND ORDERED FILED:

Communication from Michael Naughton, President, Galway Bay Irish Pub, 156-158 South Bend Street, to the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners, requesting permission to serve food and alcoholic beverages and provide entertainment in the parking lot of 156-158 South Bend Street on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 beginning at 4:00 p.m. is READ AND ORDERED FILED AND THE REQUEST IS APPROVED WITH THE FOLLOWING STIPULATIONS, AS AMENDED on a unanimous voice vote:
STIPULATIONS:
1. Hire a Pawtucket Police Officer for detail from 8:00 p.m. to 12:00 p.m.
2. Use one entrance only.
3. No one may leave the area with alcohol.
4. Maximum of 100 people in area.
5. The area will be fenced securely.
THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR BARRY.
With majority consent of the Board, the following motion made by Councilor Barry seconded by Councilor Hodge, is PASSED on a unanimous voice vote:
The Clerk is instructed to research the Department of Business Regulation’s and the City’s liquor rules regarding the number of times Class F liquor licenses may be issued to a particular location or entity.
