A regular session of the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners is held Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at 7:07 p.m., in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 137 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, RI.
Present – Chairperson Moran, Councilors Barry, Hodge, Mercer, Rudd, Tetreault, Vitali and Wildenhain.
Absent – Councilor Barros.

Mr. Lambert states that the hours of operation will be 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. On July 3 and 4, the hours will be from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
The business will be open from June 21 to July 6, 2013.
Mr. Lambert states that he tried to find another location, including the former Tim Horton’s, where he was last year, but it was leased. There are not many locations to choose from for his type of business.
He expects to have only one to two people in the store at a time and up to five to seven people on July 3 and 4.
Mr. Lambert states that there was not one complaint last year.
He states that his father-in-law will be running the store.
He will sell the fireworks only to people 18 years of age or older.
No loitering will be allowed.
Speaking in favor is Henry Gardner, 15 Suffolk Avenue, Pawtucket, RI.
Mr. Gardner lives near the old Tim Horton’s, which was on Newport Avenue. He states that there was no significant change in traffic when New England Novelty was there last year.
He states that the people in the store were very professional and that there were no problems.
Councilor Mercer reads a letter from Bud Marcello in opposition to the fireworks store, which is READ AND ORDERED FILED.
