A regular session of the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners is held Wednesday, February 20, 2013, at 7:15 p.m., in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 137 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, RI. 

 

Present – Chairperson Moran, Councilors Barros, Hodge, Mercer, Rudd, Tetreault, Vitali and Wildenhain.

 

Absent – Councilor Barry.

 

Chairperson Moran presides.



The reading of the records of February 6, 2013 is dispensed with and the records are APPROVED as prepared by the Clerk.

Speaking in favor is applicant Heather Sweet, 58 Rose Hill Drive, Cranston, RI.

 

Ms. Sweet states that she has two partners, but she will run the business. She is taking over Luke’s Shop and she will be adding other items.

 

The hours will be Monday through Saturday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.

 

There will be no outside sales.

 

There are no other speakers.

Upon motion made by Councilor Hodge, seconded by Councilors Rudd and Barros, the following petition for license is APPROVED on a unanimous voice vote:

A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE FOLLOWING APPLICATION FOR LICENSE, WHICH WAS ADVERTISED FOR A HEARING AT THIS TIME, IS TAKEN UP:

 

Petition for Auto Repair Shop and Second Hand Shop Licenses (Class A & B – Selling Used Automobiles & Parts) by Allan A. Llewellyn d/b/a Rainbow Auto Sales and Repair, (transfer from E Z Auto Sales, Inc., d/b/a E Z Auto Sales), 163 Mineral Spring Avenue, Tax Assessor’s Plat 45, lot 320, to keep a shop for the purpose of repairing automobiles and purchasing and selling second hand articles, specifically: used automobiles and parts, LIC#8665 #8664 which was advertised for a hearing at this time, is taken up:

Speaking in favor is Attorney Joseph Capineri, 24 Alexander McGregor Road, Pawtucket, RI, representing the applicant.

 

Also present is applicant Allan A. Llewellyn, 95 Wendy Drive, North Attleboro, MA.

 

Mr. Capineri states that Mr. Llewellyn is taking over the business from Mr. Martins. He will be running the same type of business as before.

 

He will have a maximum of two employees.

 

Mr. Llewellyn states that the hours will be Monday thru Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

 

Mr. Llewellyn states that this is his first venture.
