A regular session of the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners is held Wednesday, August 21, 2013, at 12:44 p.m., in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 137 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, RI. 

 

Present – Chairperson Moran, Councilors Barros, Barry, Hodge, Mercer, Rudd, Tetreault, Vitali and Wildenhain.

 

Absent – 0.

 

Chairperson Moran presides.

 

 

The reading of the records of August 7, 2013 is dispensed with and the records are APPROVED as prepared by the Clerk.

THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR VITALI.

 

With majority consent of the Board, the following motion made by Councilor Vitali, seconded by Councilors Mercer and Wildenhain, is PASSED on a unanimous voice vote:

 

The Clerk is instructed to send a communication to Community Center Grupo Amigos da Terceira, Inc., 55 Memorial Drive, requesting that they provide the same shuttle service to people parking in McCoy Stadium as they had in past years and that they police the neighborhood to pick up any trash that is thrown away improperly.  The council believes that this will help reduce any concerns their neighbors may have.

THE FOLLOWING REQUEST IS TAKEN UP:

 

Communication from Tony Marques, President of Tony & Sons Auto Service Inc., d/b/a Tony & Sons Auto Service, 551 Central Avenue, to the Pawtucket City Council, requesting that the following stipulations be amended to allow for unregistered vehicles on the property:

 

* Marques, Antonio J d/b/a Tony & Sons Auto Service, 551 Central Ave. LIC#2459 #2460

 

STIPULATIONS:

 

1.   There shall be no more than sixteen (16) registered vehicles stored on the premises outside overnight and not more than nineteen (19) registered vehicles during the business hours of operation, including the tow-truck.

2.   No business or customer vehicles to be parked on the street.

3.   No outside storage of auto or truck parts, except within the fenced enclosure presently located on the lot.

4.   Vehicle repairs to be conducted only between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.

5.   No vehicle sales allowed.

 

 

THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR WILDENHAIN.

 

Upon motion made by Councilor Wildenhain, seconded by Councilor Hodge, the request to amend the stipulations on the following license to allow for unregistered vehicles on the property is APPROVED on a unanimous voice vote:

 

* Tony & Sons Auto Service Inc., d/b/a Tony & Sons Auto Service, 551 Central Ave. LIC#2459 #2460

 

STIPULATIONS.
