A regular session of the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners is held Wednesday, August 7, 2013, at 7:20 p.m., in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 137 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, RI.
Present – Councilors Barros, Barry, Hodge, Mercer, Rudd, Tetreault, Vitali and Wildenhain.
Absent – Chairperson Moran.
Vice-Chairperson Hodge presides.
The reading of the records of July 24, 2013 is dispensed with and the records are APPROVED as prepared by the Clerk.

Ms. Santos states that her parents own the restaurant and they want to expand the business. They have bands on Saturday and Sunday nights and some patrons ask about getting mixed drinks. They have had their beer and wine license for the last few years.

Attorney Raheb states that this will be a truck repair business. His client has been in this business for approximately 40 years. He has a location in Central Falls. He will make repairs to the building and all work on the trucks will be done inside the building.

2. Limit the number of Vehicles outside to 12.

4. No auto bodywork.
Speaking in favor is Ronald Giorgio, 76 Jacksonia Drive, North Providence, RI.
Councilor Barry states that he went to Johnson to view Mr. Giorgio’s prior establishment. He states that this is not the type of business we want in Pawtucket.
Mr. Giorgio states that he has 12 vehicles for sale and he has 2 plows in the back, which is used for plowing in the winter. He also has 4 other vehicles in the back that need to be worked on.
Councilor Barry states that the Zoning Board allowed him twelve vehicles outside. He states that there are now eighteen vehicles. He states that none of the vehicles in the rear of the property had plates on them. He states there has been no work done to clean the lot.
Councilor Barry wants the fence extended 8 feet out and 6 feet high.
Mr. Giorgio states that he and his wife run the business. He may bring in a few people to help out when it’s busy, but it won’t be every day. His hours of operation in Johnston were 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Saturday.
