A regular session of the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners is held Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at 7:15 p.m., in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 137 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, RI.
Present – President Moran, Councilors Barros, Barry, Hodge, O’Neill, Tetreault, Vitali and Wildenhain.
Absent –Councilor Chadwick.
Chairperson Moran presides.
A FORMAL HEARING ON THE FOLLOWING LICENSE IS TAKEN UP:

Nova Churrasqueira Restaurant J & M Ltd., d/b/a Nova Churrasqueira Restaurant, 434 Broadway, LIC#5059
Frank J. Milos, Jr., Esq., City Solicitor, states that after speaking with Councilor Wildenhain, there will be no formal hearing because the license is up for transfer.
THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR WILDENHAIN.
Upon motion made by Councilor Wildenhain, seconded by Councilors Barros and Vitali, the Formal Hearing on the following license is withdrawn without prejudice, on a unanimous voice vote:

Communication from Paul J. Pisano, Attorney, to Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners, objecting to the transfer of Class B (Victualer) Liquor License of Nova Churrasqueira Restaurant, J&M LTD d/b/a Churasqueira Restaurant to Adelina Production Inc., d/b/a Nova Churrasqueira Restaurant in the amount of $340.20, is READ AND ORDERED FILED.
THE FOLLOWING PUBLIC HEARING WAS LAID ON THE TABLE AT THE MEETING HELD MAY 9, 2012 AND WAS CONTINUED UNTIL THIS MEETING, AND IS AGAIN TAKEN UP:

PREVIOUS STIPULATIONS.
1. There shall be one (1) parking space for every 4 patrons.
2. Dumpster shall be located in parking lot; shall be enclosed within fencing. Rubbish shall be removed at a reasonable time, not to be offensive to the neighbors.
3. Management shall be responsible for traffic control of patrons by posting parking policy inside establishment.
4. Must have police detail officer on any day or night they have entertainment. 10-6-10
5. All entertainment must be stopped by 12:00 midnight. 04-06-11
Speaking in favor Andrew Cagen, Esq., Providence, RI, speaking on behalf of the applicant, Adelina Production Inc. d/b/a Nova Churrasqueira Restaurant.
Mr. Cagen states that he spoke with Councilor Wildenhain regarding the problems at the former establishment owned by his client. His client will work to make sure there are no future problems.
There are no further speakers.

Upon motion made by Councilor Wildenhain, seconded by Councilor Barry, the following license is APPROVED PENDING THE SETTLEMENT OF ALL OUTSTANDING CLAIMS AND WITH THE FOLLOWING STIPULATIONS, on a unanimous voice vote:

(Requesting to change d/b/a name from Sunshine Lounge to S-Curve Pub) is READ AND ORDERED FILED AND THE REQUEST TO CHANGE THE NAME IS APPROVED ON A UNANIMOUS VOICE VOTE.

Upon motion made by Councilor Barros, seconded by Councilor Barry, the following request is LAID ON THE TABLE on a unanimous voice vote:

STIPULATIONS PRESENTED
1. Security Staff of four (4) bouncers

Upon motion made by Councilor Wildenhain, seconded by Councilors Hodge and Barry, the following request is APPROVED WITH THE FOLLOWING STIPULATIONS:

3. Sidewalk must remain clear.
4. Detail officer must be present the entire time.
5. No music outside after 8:00 p.m.
6. Area cleaned up that night.
