CLASS BV (Victualer) New
International Club & Billar d/b/a International Club & Billar, 327 Barton St. LIC#7792®
Alex Samoyoa, 2189 Webster Avenue, Providence, RI, applicant, is present.
Mr. Samoyoa states that all work has been completed and he has added a new fire door. He has been working with the Fire Department and he should get final approval from them next week. He would like to be open in about three weeks.
Captain Stephen Parent, Fire Department is present.
Captain Parent states that the Fire Alarm Panel has been upgraded. He sees no issue with Mr. Samoyoa completing the rest of the work. He needs to add emergency lighting and signs. He has been very cooperative.
Captain Parent states that he is much more comfortable with the new exit door. He would want to have a detail on Saturdays for one or two weeks only. He will have an agreement with Mr. Samoyoa to have a detail on nights when they expect large crowds. They need to have crowd managers on staff. He will have a band once a month or so. The stage will be properly fire-rated. The final capacity is “to be determined.” It will probably be around 440.
Mr. Samoyoa states that he has a company from which he hires security.
Councilor Chadwick states that he won’t require police details unless he gets complaints from the Police Department.
Captain Parent states that there should be better cross walks on the street.
There are no other speakers.
THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR CHADWICK.
