A regular session of the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners is held Wednesday, February 23, 2011, at 7:05 p.m., in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 137 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, RI. 

 

Present – Chairperson Moran, Councilors Barros, Barry, Chadwick, Hodge, O’Neill, Tetreault, Vitali and Wildenhain.

 

Absent – 0.

 

Chairperson Moran presides.

 

The reading of the records of February 9, 2011 is dispensed with and the records are APPROVED as prepared by the Clerk.

 

THE PUBLIC HEARING ON THE FOLLOWING PETITION FOR LICENSE WAS CONTINUED AT THE MEETING HELD FEBRUARY 9, 2011 AND IS AGAIN TAKEN UP:

 

CLASS BV (Victualer) New

 

Nasser Enterprises Inc., d/b/a Amy’s Restaurant & Grill, 842 Newport Ave. LIC#6027®

 

Speaking in favor is Joseph Sciacca, Esq., 121 Phoenix Avenue, Cranston, RI, attorney representing the applicant.  Also present is the applicant’s mother Omayma Abdalla, 1173 Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence, RI.

 

The Board had no questions. 

 

There are no other speakers.

 

The Public Hearing is closed.

 

THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR WILDENHAIN.

 

With majority consent of the Council, Councilor Wildenhain introduces and reads from the following communication:

Upon motion made by Councilor Wildenhain, seconded by Councilor Barry, the following communication is READ AND ORDERED FILED:

Upon motion made by Councilor Wildenhain, seconded by Councilors Barry and Barros, the Board APPROVES the following license on a unanimous voice vote, with the following STIPULATION:

 

CLASS BV (Victualer) New

STIPULATION:

1.  No tobacco products allowed.

 

 

Communication from Frank J. Milos, Jr. Esq., Assistant City Solicitor, to Councilor Christopher O’Neill.  (PLW-MA, Inc. d/b/a Blackstone Wine & Spirits v. Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners DBR No. 10-L-0017) this communication is READ AND ORDERED FILED.

 

THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR O’NEILL.

 

Upon motion made by Councilor O’Neill, seconded by Councilor Hodge, the following stipulation is added by the Board of License Commissioners to the stipulation of DBR #5:

 

Stipulation #5:

5.  No deliveries between 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and compliance with the local Noise Ordinance. *Per City Council 2/23/11:  No deliveries after 5:00 p.m.

 

 

 

Upon motion made by Councilor Hodge, seconded by Councilor Wildenhain, the meeting is adjourned at 7:17 p.m.
