A regular session of the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners is held Wednesday, June 9, 2010, at 7:30 p.m., in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 137 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, RI. 

 

Present – Chairperson Kinch, Councilors Barros, Barry, Chadwick, Hodge, Moran, Tetreault Vitali and Wildenhain.

 

Absent – 0.

 

Chairperson Kinch presides.

 

 

The reading of the records of May 19, 2010 is dispensed with and the records are approved as prepared by the Clerk.

 

 

 

Communication from Frank J. Milos, Jr., Esq., to Councilor David Moran. (Habanos Lounge Inc., d/b/a Habanos Cigar Lounge v. Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners) is READ AND ORDERED FILED.

 

 

 

THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR HODGE.

 

Upon motion made by Councilor Hodge, seconded by Councilor Chadwick, the following request is READ AND ORDERED FILED AND APPROVED with the following stipulations:

 

Communication from Kenneth Kando, Attorney for Cretcheu Corp., d/b/a Cretcheu Grupo, 593 Weeden Street, to Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners, requesting permission to serve food and alcoholic beverages in the parking lot of 593 Weeden Street on Saturday, July 10, 2010 from Noon to 8:30 p.m.

 

STIPULATIONS:

 

  1. At least 1 detail police officer.
  2. Alcohol in fenced in area.
  3. Drinks to be served in PLASTIC CUPS.
  4. Clean up after event.

 

 

 

Communication from Jose Galvao, President of Fidjos DiDjabraba, to Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners, requesting permission to serve alcoholic beverages in the parking lot of Fidjos DiDjabraba, 682 Roosevelt Avenue, at the annual St. John’s Festival to be held on Sundays June 13, 20, July 25, and August 1,  Saturdays June 26 and July 24, 2010 from 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm. is READ AND ORDERED FILED AND THE REQUEST IS APPROVED WITH THE FOLLOWING STIPULATIONS, on a unanimous voice vote.

 

STIPULATIONS:

 

  1. Detail police officer on duty from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
  2. Drinks to be served in PLASTIC CUPS.
  3. Appropriate dumpsters for rubbish and area must be kept clean.

 

 

Communication from Michael Naughton, President, Galway Bay, LLC d/b/a Galway Bay Irish Pub, to the Honorable Members of the Pawtucket City Council, requesting permission to serve food and alcoholic beverages in the parking lot of 156-158 South Bend Street on Saturday, July 3, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. is READ AND ORDERED FILED AND THE REQUEST IS APPROVED WITH THE FOLLOWING STIPULATIONS, on a unanimous voice vote.

 

STIPULATIONS:

 

  1. Entire area is temporarily fenced in.
  2. Hire a Pawtucket Police Officer for crowd control.
  3. Use one entrance only.
  4. No one may leave the area with alcohol.
  5. Maximum of 100 people in patio area.
  6. No glass to be used.  Paper or plastic only.

 

 

 

THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR HODGE.

 

Upon motion made by Councilor Hodge, seconded by Councilor Chadwick, the following petition for license is APPROVED with the following stipulation:

Petition of Vengeance Motorcycle Club Inc., 390 Walcott Street, to sell beer and wine at the Sandra Feinstein-Gamm Theatre, 172 Exchange Street, on Sunday, September 19, 2010, from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. LIC#5738

 

STIPULATION:

 

  1. Drinks to be served in PLASTIC CUPS.

 

 

 

THE FOLLOWING PETITION FOR LICENSE IS APPROVED ON A UNANIMOUS VOICE VOTE:

THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR MORAN.

 

With majority consent of the Council, Councilor Moran introduces the following petition:
