A regular session of the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners is held Wednesday, June 10, 2009, at 9:11 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 137 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, RI.
Present – Chairperson Kinch, Councilors Barros, Barry, Chadwick, Hodge, Moran, Tetreault, Vitali, and Wildenhain.
Absent – 0.
Chairperson Kinch presides.
The reading of the records of May 20, 2009 is dispensed with and the records are approved as prepared by the Clerk.
A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE FOLLOWING APPLICATION FOR LICENSE, WHICH WAS ADVERTISED FOR A HEARING AT THIS TIME, IS TAKEN UP AND IS CONTINUED UNTIL THE MEETING ON JUNE 24, 2009:

A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE FOLLOWING APPLICATION FOR LICENSE, WHICH WAS ADVERTISED FOR A HEARING AT THIS TIME, IS TAKEN UP:

Village Restaurant Inc., d/b/a Village Restaurant, 200 Main St. LIC#5110
Representing the license holder is Oluwatoyin Wilcox.
Ms. Wilcox states that she offers sit down meals. She states that business if difficult because customers want wine while waiting for the food to be prepared. Not having a liquor license hurts her business.
The hours will be 9:00 am to 9:00 pm.
Ms. Wilcox states that she would like to have outdoor dining with 3 tables.
There are no other speakers.

Upon motion made by Councilor Barry, seconded by Councilor Hodge, the following license is APPROVED WITH OUTDOOR SEATING, WITH THE FOLLOWING STIPULATIONS, on a unanimous voice vote:
STIPULATIONS:
1. Change of hours must be approved by the City Council.
2. All outdoor beverages must be served in plastic cups.

Communication from Scott Polion, Secretary of the Triple P Inc., d/b/a Triple P, to Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners, requesting permission to serve alcoholic beverages as well as a band or DJ throughout the day, in the parking lot of Triple P Inc., d/b/a Triple P, 435 York Avenue, on Friday, July 3, and Saturday July 18, 2009, from 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. is READ AND ORDERED FILED AND THE REQUEST IS APPROVED WITH A 2:00 P.M. STARTING TIME AND WITH THE FOLLOWING STIPULATIONS, on a unanimous voice vote.
STIPULATIONS:
1. Hire a Pawtucket Police Officer for crowd control.
2. No one may leave the area with alcohol.
3. Use one entrance only.
4. Maximum of 100 people outside.

6. Outside activities to end at 11:00 pm
Communication from Jose Galvao, President of Fidjos DiDjabraba, to Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners, requesting permission to serve alcoholic beverages in the parking lot of Fidjos DiDjabraba, 682 Roosevelt Avenue, at the annual St. John’s Festival to be held on Saturdays, June 20, 27, July 25, and Sunday July 26, 2009 from 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm. Is READ AND ORDERED FILED AND THE REQUEST IS APPROVED WITH THE FOLLOWING STIPULATIONS, on a unanimous voice vote.
STIPULATIONS:
1. Detail police officer on duty from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
2. Drinks to be served in PLASTIC CUPS.
3. Appropriate dumpsters for rubbish and area must be kept clean.

Upon motion made by Councilor Hodge, seconded by Councilors Wildenhain and Chadwick the meeting is adjourned at 9:25 p.m.
