Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners

A regular session of the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners is held Wednesday, January 10, 2007, at 6:50 p.m. in the City Council Chamber, City Hall, 137 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, RI.
Present – Chairman Bray; Councilors Barry, Carr, Chadwick, Grebien, Hodge, Kinch, Moran, and Wildenhain.
Absent – 0.
Chairman Bray presides.
The reading of the records of December 14, 2006, is dispensed with and the records are approved as prepared by the Clerk.
Communication from Major Arthur Martins, to Councilor David Moran. (Macondo’s Club, 242 Middle Street) is READ AND ORDERED FILED.
THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR MORAN.
With majority consent of the Council, the following motion made by Councilor Moran, seconded by Councilor Hodge, is passed on a unanimous voice vote:
The Clerk is instructed to issue a SUMMONS for a FORMAL HEARING to be held on Wednesday, January 24, 2006, regarding Macondo’s Club, to discuss the following:
1. Failure to maintain control of patrons and/or employees, agents; and/or endangering the health, safety and welfare of the general public; and/or permitting the house or place where you are licensed to sell beverages under the provisions of Title 3 of the General Laws to become disorderly as to annoy and disturb the persons inhabiting or residing in the neighborhood; and/or permitting any of the laws of this state to be violated in the neighborhood, on or about October 28, 2006, as well as other numerous occasions (see attached police report) (R.I.G.L. 3-5-23).
2. Operating after hours, on or about October 28, 2006 (Rule #18 - Liquor Control Administration)
3. Failure to adhere to the orders of a Police Officer.
4. Excessive Loud music in violation of Section 286 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Pawtucket, on or about November 26, 2006.
5. Failure to appear in Municipal Court regarding excessive loud noise, on two occasions, specifically December 13, 2006 and January 3, 2007.
Upon motion made by Councilor Hodge, seconded by Councilors Barry and Grebien, the meeting is adjourned at 6:55 p.m.
