Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners

A regular session of the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners is held Wednesday, April 19, 2006, at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chamber, City Hall, 137 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, RI.
Present – Chairman Grebien; Councilors Barry, Bray, Carr, Clemente, Hodge, Moran, Vitali and Wildenhain.
Absent – 0.
Chairman Grebien presides.
The reading of the records of April 5, 2006, is dispensed with and the records are approved as prepared by the Clerk.
The following license hearing was LAID ON THE TABLE at the meetings held March 8, 22, April 5, 2006, and is again taken up:
CLASS A
Alves Productions, Inc., d/b/a Tropical Liquors, (Transfer from Tropical Liquors Corporation d/b/a Tropical Liquors) 280 East Avenue, LIC#10362
Representing applicant is Richard Nicholson, Esq.
Mr. Nicholson states that the objection filed by Mr. R. Kevin Horan against the transfer has been resolved, and Mr. Horan has sent in the release to the Clerk’s office.
Marcus Smith, current owner and Mr. Leo-Mensah, who is represented by Mr. Horan, both agree to the release of the claim.
There are no other speakers.

THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR BARRY.
Upon motion made by Councilor Barry, seconded by Councilor Hodge, the following license is approved pending the release of all outstanding claims:

The matter of an INFORMAL HEARING regarding the following license is taken up:
CLASS B (Victualer)
Boson Associates, Inc., d/b/a Macondo, 242 Middle Street, LIC#10296
Robert Thibeault, President, Boson Associates Inc. d/b/a Macondo, 242 Middle Street, Pawtucket, RI, states that he sold the real estate to Mr. Vieira and 49% of the interest to Mr. Alves.
Mr. Thibeault will remain as the major shareholder and the business will continue as the same type of operation as in the past.
Councilor Moran again states that he hopes this license will operate without any more changes for a long period of time.
