Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners

A regular session of the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners is held Wednesday, April 5, 2006, at 6:55 p.m. in the City Council Chamber, City Hall, 137 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, RI.
Present – Chairman Grebien; Councilors Barry, Bray, Moran, Vitali and Wildenhain.
Absent – Councilors Carr, Clemente and Hodge.
Chairman Grebien presides.
The reading of the records of March 22, 2006, is dispensed with and the records are approved as prepared by the Clerk.
COUNCILOR CARR ARRIVES AT 7:00 P.M.
The following hearing was Laid on the Table at the meetings held March 8 and March 22, 2006, and is again taken up:
CLASS A
Alves Productions, Inc., d/b/a Tropical Liquors, (Transfer from Tropical Liquors Corporation d/b/a Tropical Liquors) 280 East Avenue, LIC#10362
Felipe Andrade, 151 Rocco Avenue, Pawtucket, RI, President, responds to questions from Councilor Barry.
Mr. Andrade states that the objection from Mr. Anthony Leo Mensah has not been officially straightened out, and would like more time to come to a compromise.
Mr. Anthony Leo Mensah states that the attorneys for both himself and Mr. Andrade need to formally prepare a legal document to clarify the issue of this claim and feels that this can be accomplished in the next two weeks.
There are no other speakers.

THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR BARRY.
Upon motion made by Councilor Barry, seconded by Councilor Bray, the hearing on the following license is continued until April 19, 2006, on a unanimous voice vote:

Communication from Robert L. Thibeault, to Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners. (Boson Associates, Inc., d/b/a Macondo’s – transfer of 49% stockholder) is READ AND ORDERED FILED.
THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR MORAN.
With majority consent of the Council, the following motion made by Councilor Moran, seconded by Councilor Wildenhain, is passed on a unanimous voice vote:
The Clerk is instructed to send a communication to Robert L. Thibeault, President of Boson Associates Inc., d/b/a Macondo’s and Joao Alves, to attend a Informal Hearing scheduled for Wednesday, April, 19, 2006, to discuss the request to add Mr. Joao Alves as a holder of 49% of stock, and, any other issues regarding the operation of this business.
Communication from Samuel A. Miller, Esq., to Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners. (Candilejas Corp d/b/a Candilejas Café & Lounge, 602 Smithfield Avenue – New Treasurer) is READ AND ORDERED FIELD.
Upon motion made by Councilor Moran, seconded by Councilor Carr, the meeting is adjourned at 7:10 p.m.
