Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners

A regular session of the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners is held Wednesday, March 23, 2005, at 6:45 p.m. in the City Council Chamber, City Hall, 137 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, RI.
Present – Chairman Grebien; Councilors Barry, Bray, Carr, Clemente, Hodge, Moran, Vitali and Wildenhain.
Absent – 0.
Chairman Grebien presides.
The reading of the records of March 9, 2005, is dispensed with and the records are approved as prepared by the Clerk.
A public hearing on the following application for license which was advertised for a hearing at this time, is taken up:

PLW-MA, Inc., d/b/a Douglas Wine & Spirits (Pawtucket), (transfer from Gary’s Liquors, Inc., 1179 Central Avenue) 727 East Avenue, LIC#10342

Upon motion made by Councilor Bray, seconded by Councilor Barry, the Public Hearing for the following application is continued until April 6, 2005, on a unanimous voice vote:

Upon motion made by Councilor Bray, seconded by Councilor Barry, the following communication are READ AND ORDERED FILED:
Petition from the neighbors against the transfer of Gary’s Liquors Inc., 1179 Central Avenue to PLM-MA, Inc., d/b/a Douglas Wine & Spirits, 727 East Avenue.
A public hearing is held on the following application for license advertised for this time:

Rob Yaffe d/b/a Garden Grille, 727 East Avenue, LIC#10343
Speaking for the applicant is Attorney Michael Horan, 393 Armistice Boulevard, Pawtucket, RI.
Mr. Horan asks that the application be withdrawn without prejudice. Applicant will re-apply for the liquor license under a corporation name.
There are no other speakers.

Communication from Ellen Murphy, President of New England Fish Factory, Inc., 271 Newport Avenue to the Honorable Members of the Pawtucket City Council, requesting permission to add the d/b/a of Noodle Nation Restaurant is READ AND ORDERED FIELD AND THE REQUEST TO ADD THE D/B/A NAME OF NOODLE NATION RESTAURANT IS APPROVED ON A UNANIMOUS VOICE VOTE.
