Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners

A regular session of the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners is held Wednesday, June 8, 2005, at 6:55 p.m. in the City Council Chamber, City Hall, 137 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, RI.
Present – Chairman Grebien, Councilors Barry, Bray, Carr, Hodge, Moran, Vitali and Wildenhain.
Absent – Councilor Clemente.
Chairman Grebien presides.
The reading of the records of May 25, 2005, is dispensed with and the records are approved as prepared by the Clerk.
THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR CARR.
With majority consent of the Council, Councilor Carr introduces the following communication:
Communication from Arcaro, Belilove, and Kolodney, Attorneys at Law, objecting to the transfer of Class A Liquor License of Vinh’s Brother Inc., d/b/a Lonsdale Liquors, 465 Lonsdale Avenue, to Lonsdale Liquors Inc., in the total amount of $1,075.84.
Upon motion made by Councilor Carr, seconded by Councilor Barry, the following communications is READ AND ORDERED FILED:

Upon motion made by Councilor Carr, seconded by Councilor Vitali, the following license is APPROVED PENDING THE SETTLEMENT OF ALL OUTSTANDING CLAIMS, on a unanimous voice vote:

Communication from George L. Kelley, III, Chief of Police, to Honorable Members of the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners. (East Street Liquors, 183 East Street) is READ AND ORDERED FILED.
THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR MORAN.
With majority consent of the Council, the following motion made by Councilor Moran, seconded by Councilor Wildenhain, is passed on a unanimous voice vote:
The Clerk is instructed to issue a SUMMONS for an INFORMAL HEARING on Wednesday, June 22, 2005, regarding Manmar, Inc., d/b/a East Street Liquors, to discuss the following:
The opening and consumption of alcoholic beverages on licensed premises – violation of R.I.G.L. 3-7-3
Failure to maintain control of patrons and/or employees, agents, endangering the health, safety and welfare of the general public.
