A regular session of the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners is held Wednesday, October 6, 2004, at 6:50 p.m. in the City Council Chamber, City Hall, 137 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, RI.
Present – Chairman Barry, Councilors Bray, Carr, Grebien, Hodge, Hoyas, Moran and Wildenhain.
Absent – Councilor Clemente.
Chairman Barry presides.
The reading of the records of September 22, 2004, is dispensed with and the records are approved as prepared by the Clerk.
THE CHAIR RECOGNIES COUNCILOR MORAN.
With majority consent of the Council, Councilor Moran introduces the following communications:
Communication from Arcaro, Belilove, and Kolodney, Attorneys at Law, objecting to the transfer of Class A liquor license of J.R. Acquisition LLC d/b/a J.R. Sav-On Liquor, 350 Benefit Street, to Aurora Enterprises LLC d/b/a J.R. Sav-On Liquor, in the amount of $29,629.98
Communication from McLaughlin & Moran, Inc., objecting to the transfer of Class A liquor license of J.R. Acquisition LLC d/b/a J.R. Sav-On Liquor, 350 Benefit Street, to Aurora Enterprises LLC d/b/a J.R. Sav-On Liquor, in the amount of $38,135.07
Upon motion made by Councilor Moran, seconded by Councilor Bray, the following communications are READ AND ORDERED FILED:

Upon motion made by Councilor Moran, seconded by Councilor Grebien the following communication is READ AND ORDERED FILED:

COUNCILOR CLEMENTE ARRIVES AT 6:59 P.M.
The matter of an INFORMAL HEARING on the following license is taken up:

THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR CLEMENTE.
With majority consent of the Council, Councilor Clemente states that he met earlier with representatives of the Howard-Rogers Club; Frank Milos, Assistant City Solicitor; and representative of Police Department. It was agree upon, if attendance is large enough to warrant it, a police detail will be assigned.
Further, if there are any future problems at the Club, a formal hearing will be held for more serious action against the Howard-Rogers Club.
Upon motion made by Councilor Bray, seconded by Councilor Grebien, the meeting is adjourned at 7:00 p.m.
