A regular session of the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners is held Wednesday, June 23, 2004, at 6:50 p.m. in the City Council Chamber, City Hall, 137 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, RI.
Present – Chairman Barry, Councilors Bray, Clemente, Grebien, and Hodge.
Absent – Councilors Carr, Hoyas, Moran and Wildenhain.
Chairman Barry presides.
The reading of the records of June 9, 2004, is dispensed with and the records are approved as prepared by the Clerk.
Communication from Arcaro, Belilove, and Kolodney, Attorneys at Law, objecting to the transfer of Class A Liquor License of Bino’s Liquors Inc., d/b/a Bino’s International Wine & Spirits, 593 Weeden Street to Chhem & Phul LLC d/b/a Bino’s International Wine & Spirits, in the amount of $4,462.68, is READ AND ORDERED FILED.
THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR BRAY.
With majority consent of the Council, Councilor Bray introduces the following communication:

Upon motion made by Councilor Bray, seconded by Councilor Clemente, the following communication is READ AND ORDERED FILED:

Speaking in favor is Monica Horan, 393 Armistice Boulevard, attorney representing the applicant, Chhem & Phul LLC.
Ms. Horan states that this will be a family run business, and although the owners have no prior experience, the previous owner will remain on during the transition.
Councilor Clemente asks if the new owners are TIPS Certified.
Ms. Horan states that they are all TIPS Certified.
There are no other speakers.

Upon motion made by Councilor Hoyas, seconded by Councilor Hodge, the request of Mei King Restaurant, 211 South Bend Street to sell food and soda from the parking lot of 211 South Bend Street on Saturday, July 3, 2004, from 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m., is APPROVED on a unanimous voice vote.
Communication from Thomas Brennan to the Honorable Members of the City Council responding to complaints regarding the St. Patrick’s Day festivities at the Celtic Pub, 755 Broadway, is READ AND ORDERED FILED.
Upon motion made by Councilor Bray, seconded by Councilor Clemente, the meeting is adjourned at 7:00 p.m.
