A regular session of the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners is held Wednesday, June 11, 2003, at 6:55 p.m. in the City Council Chamber, City Hall, 137 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, RI.
Present – Chairman Barry, Councilors Bray, Carr, Clemente, Grebien, and Hodge.
Absent – Councilors Hoyas, Moran, and Wildenhain.
Chairman Barry presides.
The reading of the records of May 21, 2003, is dispensed with and the records are approved as prepared by the Clerk.
COUNCILOR HOYAS ARRIVES AT 6:56 P.M.
A public hearing is held on the following application for license, which was advertised for this time:
CLASS A
Baalbaki, Inc. d/b/a Darlington Liquors, (Transfer from Darlington Liquors, Inc. d/b/a Darlington Liquors), 346 Armistice Boulevard, LIC# 10317
Speaking in favor is Robert Ameen, Attorney representing the applicant.
Mr. Ameen states that the lease for this business has not been approved as of this date and he is asking for a continuance.
There are no other speakers.
THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR GREBIEN.
Upon motion made by Councilor Grebien, seconded by Councilor Hodge, the Public Hearing on the following application for license is RECESSED UNTIL JUNE 25, 2003, on a unanimous voice vote.

Upon motion made by Councilor Clemente, seconded by Councilor Grebien, a FORMAL HEARING IS SCHEDULED FOR WEDNESDAY, JUNE 25, 2003, AT 6:45 P.M. ON THE FOLLOWING LICENSE:

Malibu Bar & Grill, Inc., d/b/a Malibu Bar & Grill, 602 Smithfield Ave. LIC#10311
Previous stipulations.
GRANTED AT THE MEETING HELD 10/10/01
1. Entertainment allowed 1 day per week on either Fridays or Saturdays.
NEW STIPULATIONS ADDED AT THE MEETING HELD 12/19/01
2. Detail police officers on Friday and Saturday evening.
3. Back doors are to be kept closed at all times.
