Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners
February 6, 2002
A regular session of the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners is held Wednesday, February 6, 2002, at seven thirty o’clock p.m. in the City Council Chamber, City Hall, 137 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, RI.
Present – Chairman Barry; Councilors Carr, Clemente, Grebien, Hodge, Hoyas, and Wildenhain.
Absent - Councilors Bray and Moran.
Chairman Barry presides.
The reading of the records of January 23, 2002, is dispensed with and the records are approved as prepared by the Clerk.
The following license, scheduled for an informal hearing, is taken up:
CLASS B (Victualer)
Cidade Velha Lounge Inc d/b/a CV Lounge, 214 Broad St. LIC#10270
THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR CLEMENTE.
Upon motion made by Councilor Clemente, seconded by Councilor Grebien, the informal hearing on the following license is cancelled and a FORMAL HEARING is called for March 6, 2002, based on continuing incidents at this location.
The Clerk is instructed to obtain the recent incident report from the Police Department.
The following licenses are GRANTED on a unanimous voice vote:
CLASS F (Beer & Wine)
Sacred Heart Church, to serve beer & wine at a valentine’s dance at 38 Park Street, on Saturday, February 9, 2002, from 6:00 p.m. – 12 Midnight. LIC#93
CLASS F-1 (Full Privilege)
Cape Verdean Association of Community Development to serve alcoholic beverages at a fundraiser at 120 High Street on Saturday, February 23, 2002, from 8:00 p.m.- 1:00 a.m. LIC#94
Upon motion made by Councilor Hodge, seconded by Councilor Clemente, the meeting is adjourned at seven thirty-five o’clock p.m.
