Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners
June 20, 2001
A regular session of the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners is held Wednesday, June 20, 2001, at seven forty-three o’clock p.m. in the City Council Chamber, City Hall, 137 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, RI.
Present – Chairman Barry, Councilors Bray, Grebien, Hodge, and Wildenhain.
Absent – Councilor Carr, Clemente, Hoyas, and Moran.
Chairman Barry presides.
The reading of the records of June 6, 2001, is dispensed with and the records are APPROVED as prepared by the Clerk.
A Public hearing is held on the following application for license advertised for this time:

Brava Restaurant and Bar Inc., d/b/a Restaurant Di Nos (Transfer from Restaurant Praia Inc., d/b/a Restaurant Praia.) 908 Main Street, LIC# 10293
Present at the hearing are the following:
David Slepkow, Attorney, representing the Applicant, 1481 Wampanoag Trail, East Providence RI. 02915.
Manuel Lomba, Vice President, 179 Carter Avenue, Pawtucket RI.
Gustavo Rodrigues, President, 117 Dawson Street, Pawtucket RI.
Attorney Slepkow states that this business is a small bar with a seating capacity of 30 people.
There will be Cape Verdean food served.
There has been no previous problems at this establishment, and both owners are T.I.P.S. certified. Also a food service certificate from the RI Health Department will be obtained.
The hours of service will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m.
Mr. Rodrigues states that he was a chef, and there will be no entertainment at this establishment. He will operate this business as Mr. Da Silva did.
There are no other speakers.

Upon motion made by Councilor Hodge, seconded by Councilor Grebien, the following request from Jie Ling Chan, Manager, Mei King Restaurant, 211 South Bend Street, to the Pawtucket City Council, requesting permission to sell Food and Soda “Only” in the Parking Lot from 7:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. on the night of the Fireworks Display, July 3, 2001, is APPROVED on a unanimous voice vote.
Communication from Ted P. Jackvony, President, Jack’s Are Wild, Inc., d/b/a Left Field Bar & Grill, 156-158 South Bend, to the members of the City Council requesting permission to serve food and alcoholic beverages in the parking lot, on Tuesday, July 3, 2001, beginning at 4:00 p.m. IS READ AND ORDERED FILED.
STIPULATIONS:
1. Entire area is temporarily fenced in.
2. Hire a Pawtucket Police officer for crowd control.
3. Use one entrance only.
4. No one may leave the area with alcohol.
5. Maximum of 100 people in patio area.

Upon motion made by Councilor Hoyas, seconded by Councilor Hodge, the following request from Ted P. Jackvony, President, Jack’s Are Wild, Inc, d/b/a Left Field Bar & Grill, 156-158 South Bend, to the Pawtucket City Council, requesting permission to serve food and alcoholic beverages in the parking lot, on Tuesday, July 3, 2001, beginning at 4:00 p.m. is APPROVED with the following STIPULATIONS on a unanimous voice vote:

With majority consent of the Council, the following motion made by Councilor Wildenhain, seconded by Councilor Hodge, is PASSED on a unanimous voice vote:
The Clerk is instructed to issue a summons to the officers of the following Class B (Victualer) Liquor License to appear at a FORMAL HEARING scheduled for Wednesday, July 11, 2001, regarding the change of officers of this corporation.
