Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners
January 24, 2001
A regular session of the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners is held Wednesday, January 24, 2001, at eight thirty-one o’clock p.m. in the City Council Chamber, City Hall, 137 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, RI.
Present – Chairman Barry, Councilors Carr, Clemente, Grebien, Hodge, Hoyas, Moran, and Wildenhain.
Absent – Councilor Bray.
Chairman Barry presides.
The reading of the records of January 10, 2001, is dispensed with and the records are APPROVED as prepared by the Clerk.
The matter of a FORMAL HEARING on the following license is taken up:
CLASS B (Victualer)

STIPULATIONS
THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR HODGE.
With majority consent of the Council, the following motion made by Councilor Hodge, seconded by Councilor Grebien, is PASSED on a unanimous voice vote:
A FORMAL HEARING regarding the following license is rescheduled to be held on Wednesday, February 7, 2001, at seven thirty o’clock p.m.
CLASS B (Victualer)
Romar Inc., d/b/a Club Nowhere, 520 Central Ave. LIC#10246
STIPULATIONS
1. All doors shall be kept closed at all times.
2. No loitering of patrons outside the building.
3. A police officer shall be hired on Friday and Saturday evenings to patrol the exterior of the building.
4. No alcoholic beverages outside the building at any time.
5. Clear area of any debris before leaving for the night.
Communication from Commander Stephen P. Ormerod, to Chief George L. Kelley, III (Underage alcohol sales compliance checks- Class A – Lonsdale Liquors, Almeida’s Liquors, and Class BV - Caster’s Pub, Club Nowhere, Central Avenue Grill.) is READ AND ORDERED FILED.
THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR HODGE.
With majority consent of the Council, the following motion made by Councilor Hodge, seconded by Councilor Wildenhain, is PASSED on a unanimous voice vote:
The Clerk is instructed to send a communication to the following Class A and Class BV liquor licenses requesting that the owners appear at the next Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners meeting on February 7, 2001, at 7:30 p.m.
1. Class A- Atlantic Group Holding Inc., d/b/a Lonsdale Wine & Spirits, 465 Lonsdale Avenue.
2. Class A- Oliveira & Oliveira, Inc., d/b/a Almeida’s Liquors, 610 Main Street.
3. Class BV- R & N Pubs Inc., d/b/a Caster’s Pub, 605-607 Broadway.
4. Class BV- Romar Inc., d/b/a Club Nowhere, 520 Central Avenue.
5. Class BV- Dean Properties Inc., d/b/a Central Avenue Grille, 836-838 Central Avenue.

Petition of Radio Di Nos to sell alcoholic beverages at a dance/fundraiser at 120 High Street, on Saturday, February 17, 2001, from 9:00 p.m. until 1:00 a.m. LIC# 71
THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR CLEMENTE.
With majority consent of the Council, the following motion made by Councilor Clemente, seconded by Councilor Hodge, is PASSED on a unanimous voice vote:
The Clerk is instructed to research on how many Class F licenses were issued to the address of 120 High Street, Pawtucket, R.I. from January 1, 2000, to January 1, 2001.
Upon motion made by Councilor Moran, seconded by Councilor Hodge, the meeting is adjourned at eight forty o’clock p.m.
