September 20, 2000

 

A regular session of the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners is held Wednesday, September 20, 2000, at eight-seven o’clock p.m. in the City Council Chamber, City Hall, 137 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, RI. 

 

Present – Councilors Bray, Carr, Clemente, Grebien, Hodge, Hoyas, and Moran.

 

Absent – Chairman Barry, Councilor Wildenhain.

 

Vice Chairwoman Bray  presides.

 

The reading of the records of September 6, 2000, is dispensed with and the records are APPROVED as prepared by the Clerk.

 

Communication from Commander Stephen P. Ormerod to Chief George L. Kelley, III, (Lisboa a Noite-violation of liquor license stipulations), is READ AND ORDERED FILED.

 

THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR CLEMENTE.

 

Upon motion made by Councilor Clemente, seconded by Councilor Carr, a FORMAL HEARING is scheduled for Lisboa A Noite on Wednesday, October 11, 2000, at 7:30 p.m. for Violation of the Stipulation on liquor license; Failure to Maintain Control of patrons and Operating after hours.   

 

 

THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR HODGE.

 

With majority consent of the Council, Councilor Hodge introduces the following communication:

 

Communication from His Honor, Mayor James E. Doyle, Director of Public Safety, to Councilor Mary E. Bray, President Pro-Tempore. (Incident at Club Cosmopolitan – on Sunday September 17, 2000)

 

Upon motion made by Councilor Hodge, seconded by Councilor Grebien, the following communication is READ AND ORDERED FILED:

THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR HODGE.

 

Upon motion made by Councilor Hodge, seconded by Councilor Grebien, a FORMAL HEARING is scheduled for Club Cosmopolitan on Wednesday, October 11, 2000, at 7:30 p.m. to answer the Disturbance Complaints on Sunday September 17, 2000, filed by the police department. 

 

Upon motion made by Councilor Moran, seconded by Councilor Grebien, the meeting is adjourned at eight eleven o’clock p.m.
