A regular session of the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners is held Wednesday, November 8, 2000, at seven forty-five o’clock p.m. in the City Council Chamber, City Hall, 137 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, RI.
Present – Chairman Barry, Councilors Bray, Carr, Grebien, Hodge, Hoyas, Moran, and Wildenhain.
Absent – Councilor Clemente
Chairman Barry presides.
The reading of the records of October 25, 2000, is dispensed with and the records are APPROVED as prepared by the Clerk.

Upon motion made by Councilor Clemente, seconded by Councilor Grebien the Class B (Victualer) liquor license of Cape Verdean American Lounge, Inc. d/b/a Lisboa A Noite, 17 Exchange Street, LIC #10224, PURSUANT TO CONSENT ORDER SAID LICENSE IS SUSPENDED FOR ONE (1) DAY, commencing at 12:01 a.m. Friday December 8, 2000, and ending at 12:00 Midnight, on a unanimous voice vote, for the following reasons:
1. VIOLATION OF THE STIPULATION PLACED ON THE LIQUOR LICENSE - A POLICE OFFICE SHALL BE HIRED FOR SECURITY PURPOSES WHENEVER THERE IS A PARTY SCHEDULED AT THE RESTAURANT.
2. FAILURE TO MAINTAIN CONTROL OF PATRONS AND/OR EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, ENDANGERING THE HEALTH, SAFETY AND WELFARE OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC.

5. There will be one police officer assigned for each 150 patrons entering the Club. These officers are assigned directly to the club for order maintenance.
6. There shall be one police officer assigned to the area of East Avenue at the rear of the club. This officer does not count against the complement of officers allotted for the club. The officer designated for East Avenue is there to assure that no club patron’s park in the Towers East, Boy’s Club, or Fleet parking lots, as well as on East Avenue.
7. parking lots around the club. They have no authority to direct traffic on any property of the City of Pawtucket. They are not to intervene in any police matter.
8. The police department reserves the right to reassess the stipulated police detail arrangements if complaints of noise and incidence of violence continue to occur in and around the establishment.
9. Applicant shall provide a detail of at least 2 firefighters, when in the opinion of the Pawtucket Fire Chief; the applicant is sponsoring an event, which may mandate such services. This is pursuant to the decision of the Fire Safety Code Board of Appeal and Review, dated October 13, 1998
