Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners

A regular session of the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners is held Wednesday, May 24, 2000, at seven forty-seven o’clock p.m. at Jenks Junior High School Media Center, Division Street, Pawtucket, Rhode Island.
Present – Chairman Barry, Councilors Bray, Carr, Grebien, Hodge, Hoyas, Moran, and Wildenhain.
Absent – Councilor Clemente.
Chairman Barry presides.
The reading of the records of May 10, 2000, is dispensed with and the records are APPROVED as prepared by the Clerk.
The following application for license was LAID ON THE TABLE at the May 10, 2000, meeting is again taken up:

Ghanam Enterprises, Inc., d/b/a Liquor City, 530 Broadway, (transfer from
459 Mineral Spring Avenue) LIC#10275.
THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR BRAY.
Upon motion made by Councilor Bray, seconded by Councilor Hodge, the following application for license is DENIED, on a unanimous voice vote, based on the fact that this area is saturated with this type of business:

Communication from Jeffrey J. Greer, Hearing Officer, State Department of Business Regulations, submitting an advisory opinion regarding Churrasqueira Da Beira Inc., 434 Broadway, Lic. # 10077, is READ AND ORDERED FILED.
The following license is DENIED on a unanimous voice vote:
