A regular session of the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners is held Wednesday, December 6, 2000, at eight ten o’clock p.m. in the City Council Chamber, City Hall, 137 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, RI.
Present – Chairman Barry, Councilors Bray, Carr, Clemente, Grebien, Hodge, Hoyas, Moran, and Wildenhain.
Absent – 0
Chairman Barry presides.
The reading of the records of November 21, 2000, is dispensed with and the records are APPROVED as prepared by the Clerk.
Communication from George L. Kelley, III, Chief of Police to Pawtucket City Council Board of License Commissioners, (liquor law violation of Gee’s Liquors, 400 Broadway, Pawtucket RI,). IS READ AND ORDERED FILED.
THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR MORAN
With majority consent of the Council, the following motion made by Councilor Moran, seconded by Councilor Hodge, is PASSED on a unanimous voice vote:
THE CLERK IS INSTRUCTED TO NOTIFY THE OFFICERS OF THE GREAT ENTREPRENEURIAL ENDEAVORS INC. D/B/A GEE’S LIQUOR, 398 BROADWAY, PAWTUCKET RI, TO APPEAR AT A FORMAL HEARING SCHEDULED FOR WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 10, 2001, AT 7:30 P.M., REGARDING THE ALLEGED SALE OF ALCOHOL TO A MINOR.
Communication from George E. Gagnon Sr., President of the Sports Zone Inc., 602 Smithfield Avenue, to Pawtucket City Council Board of License Commissioners, requesting d/b/a name change from Sportsmen Café to Pit Bar & Grille, IS READ AND ORDERED FILED.
THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR CLEMENTE
With majority consent of the Council, the following motion made by Councilor Clemente, seconded by Councilor Grebien, the request of the Sports Zone Inc., 602 Smithfield Avenue, to change the d/b/a from Sportsmen Café to Pit Bar & Grille is APPROVED WITH ALL EXISTING STIPULATIONS TO REMAIN IN PLACE, on a unanimous voice vote.
THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR BRAY
Upon motion made by Councilor by Bray, seconded by Councilor Hodge, the following is APPROVED on a unanimous voice vote.
In conformity with Chapter 242 of the Public Laws of Rhode Island, 1962, Class B liquor establishments are hereby entitled to remain open on New Year’s morning, January 1, 2001, until 3:00 a.m. Alcoholic Beverages however, CANNOT be sold after the usual closing hour of 1:00 a.m.

Upon motion made by Councilor Bray, seconded by Councilor Clemente the following is APPROVED on a unanimous voice vote.
In Conformity with Section 3-8-1 of the General Laws of the State of Rhode Island, Class C liquor establishments are hereby entitled to be open on New Year’s Day, 2001.
THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR BRAY
Upon motion made by Councilor Bray, seconded by Councilor Hodge the following is APPROVED on a unanimous voice vote.
In Conformity with Chapter 3-8-1 of the General Laws of the State of Rhode Island, Class A Liquor establishments are hereby entitled to be open on Sunday December 24, 2000, and Sunday December 31, 2000, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Upon motion made by Councilor Bray, seconded by Councilor Grebien, the meeting is adjourned at eight twenty o’clock p.m.
