Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners

A regular session of the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners is held Wednesday, October 6, 1999, at seven fifty five o’clock p.m. in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, Pawtucket, Rhode Island.
Present - Chairman Barry; Councilors Bray, Carr, Clemente, Grebien, Hodge, Hoyas, Moran and Wildenhain.
Absent - 0
Chairman Barry presides.
The reading of the records of September 22, 1999, is dispensed with and the records are APPROVED as prepared by the Clerk.
Communication from Michael F. Horan, Attorney at Law, to Janice M. LaPorte, City Clerk, withdrawing pending application of Lafayette Social Club, is READ AND ORDERED FILED.
Communication from Commander Stephen P. Ormerod to Chief George L. Kelley, III. (Activity reports - Club Cosmopolitan - August 21, 22, 28, 29; September 4, 5, 11, 12, 18, 19, 25, 26, 1999), is READ AND ORDERED FILED.
THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR GREBIEN.
With majority consent of the Council, the following motion made by Councilor Grebien, seconded by Councilor Carr, is PASSED on a unanimous voice vote:
The Clerk is instructed to send a communication to Michael O’Brien, President, Caribbean Entertainment, Inc., d/b/a Cosmopolitan Club, 25 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, RI, 02860, requesting that he attend the next meeting of the Board of License Commissioners scheduled for Wednesday, October 20, 1999.
The purpose of this meeting is to discuss recent activity reports filed by Commander Stephen P. Ormerod to the City Council, as well as to answer questions the Council has concerning rumors of a change of ownership of the establishment.

Upon motion made by Councilor Bray, seconded by Councilor Grebien the following license is APPROVED on a unanimous voice vote:

Immaculate Heart of Mary, 291 High Street, requesting permission to sell beer & wine at the 2nd Anniversary Celebration of the Legion of Mary, on Saturday, October 30, 1999, from 7:30 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. LIC#50
Upon motion made by Councilor Bray, seconded by Councilor Hodge, the meeting is adjourned at eight o’clock p.m.
