Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners

A regular session of the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners is held Wednesday, May 19, 1999, at eight nine o’clock p.m. in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, Pawtucket, Rhode Island.
Present - Chairman Barry; Councilors Bray, Carr, Clemente, Grebien, Hodge, Hoyas, and Wildenhain.
Absent - Councilor Moran.
Chairman Barry presides.
The reading of the records of May 5, 1999, is dispensed with and the records are approved as prepared by the Clerk.
THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR CLEMENTE.
With majority consent of the Council, Councilor Clemente introduces the following communications:
Copies of communications from R. Kevin Horan, Attorney at Law, regarding Motion to Modify the stipulation requiring police security, placed on the Class B (Victualer) liquor license of Cape Verdean American Lounge, Inc., d/b/a Lisboa A Noite, 17 Exchange Street.
Communication from R. Kevin Horan, Attorney at Law, regarding the Class B (Victualer) license of Cape Verdean American Lounge, Inc., d/b/a Lisboa A Noite, 17 Exchange Street - Agreement to hire a police officer whenever there is a party scheduled.
Upon motion made by Councilor Clemente, seconded by Councilor Grebien, the following communications are READ AND ORDERED FILED:

THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR CLEMENTE.
With majority consent of the Council, the following motion made by Councilor Clemente, seconded by Councilor Grebien, is passed on a unanimous voice vote:
The formal hearing regarding Class B (Victualer) liquor license of Cape Verdean American Lounge, Inc., d/b/a Lisboa A Noite, 17 Exchange Street, is canceled, with a warning to applicant that any further incidence will result in further action by the Council.
The following stipulation is placed on the license:
A police officer shall be hired for security purposes whenever there is a party scheduled at the restaurant.

With majority consent of the Council, Councilor Bray introduces the following communication:
Communication from William J. Burke, Attorney at Law, to Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners, requesting that the formal hearing regarding the Dante Alighieri Social Club be rescheduled.
Upon motion made by Councilor Bray, seconded by Councilor Hodge, the following communication is READ AND ORDERED FILED:
