A regular session of the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners is held Wednesday, July 7, 1999, at seven fifty o’clock p.m. in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, Pawtucket, Rhode Island.
Present - Chairman Barry; Councilors Bray, Carr, Grebien, Hodge, Moran and Wildenhain.
Absent - Councilors Clemente and Hoyas.
Chairman Barry presides.
The reading of the records of June 23, 1999, is dispensed with and the records are APPROVED as prepared by the Clerk.
Claim of Arcaro, Belilove and Kolodney, Attorneys at Law, objecting to the transfer of Class A liquor license of J. & C. Liquors Inc., d/b/a Almeida’s Liquors, 610 Main Street, to Oliveira & Oliveira, Inc., in the total amount of $33,261.80, is READ AND ORDERED FILED.

Speaking in favor is Attorney Joseph Lamagna, 716 Central Avenue, Pawtucket, Rhode Island, representing the applicants, Joao and Carlos Oliveira.
Mr. Lamagna states that the new buyer will take care of all outstanding claims, and that although Carlos Oliveira has no experience in this type of business, his brother Joao, ran a business of this type in Central Falls four or five years ago.
Mr. Lamagna adds that Joao will be running the business and Carlos will help.
All employees will be Tips certified
