PAWTUCKET BOARD OF LICENSE COMMISSIONERS

October 7, 1998

 

A regular session of the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners is held Wednesday, October 7, 1998, at seven fifty-six o’clock p.m. in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, Pawtucket, RI. All the members are present except Councilor Hodge; Chairman Barry presides.

 

The reading of the records of September 23, 1998, is dispensed with and the records are approved as prepared by the Clerk.

 

A public hearing is held on the following application for license advertised for this time:

 

CLASS B (Victualer)

 

Romar Inc., d/b/a Sit-N-Bull Tavern (transfer from Jean B. Vitali d/b/a Kopy Kats) 520 Central Avenue LIC#10246.

 

Speaking in favor is Charles White, Attorney, representing the applicant.

 

Mr. White introduces Robin Picard, President and sole officer of the corporation.

 

In response to questions asked by Councilor Wildenhain, Ms. Picard states that luncheons will be served. The establishment will be open from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 a.m.

 

Entertainment will consist of Karaoke and a DJ.

 

Councilor Wildenhain requests that the applicant is to keep the area cleaned and that all patrons are to leave quietly.

 

There are no speakers in opposition.

 

The hearing is closed.

 

Upon motion made by Councilor Wildenhain, seconded by Councilor Moran, the following application is APPROVED on a unanimous voice vote:

Communication from Frank J. Milos, Jr, Assistant City solicitor to the Honorable John J. Barry, III, President, Pawtucket City Council, enclosing Interim Order rendered by Liquor Hearing Officer, Jeffrey J. Greer, regarding the Paradise Club, is READ AND ORDERED FILED.

 

Upon motion made by Councilor Vieira, seconded by Councilor Grebien, the meeting is adjourned at eight two o’clock p.m.
