PAWTUCKET BOARD OF LICENSE COMMISSIONERS
July 22, 1998
A regular session of the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners is held Wednesday, July 22, 1998, at twelve forty-one o’clock p.m. in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, Pawtucket, RI. All the members are present and Chairman Barry presides.
The reading of the records of July 8, 1998, is dispensed with and the records are approved as prepared by the Clerk.
Communication from Lisa L. Duquenoy, President, Benefit Street Pub, Inc., 433 Benefit Street to Councilor David Moran, (Request stipulation placed on license to close on Sundays during the months of July and August, be removed,) is READ AND ORDERED FILED.
THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR MORAN.
With majority consent of the Council, the following motion made by Councilor Moran, seconded by Councilor Vieira, is passed on a unanimous voice vote:
THE STIPULATIONS PLACED ON CLASS B (VICTUALER) LIQUOR LICENSE OF THE BENEFIT STREET PUB, INC, 433 BENEFIT STREET, TO CLOSE ON SUNDAYS DURING THE MONTHS OF JULY AND AUGUST ARE REMOVED.
Communication from Michael F. Horan, Attorney at Law, to President John J. Barry, requesting a continuance on the date of the informal hearing regarding the Cosmopolitan Club, 25 Roosevelt Avenue extension, scheduled for Wednesday, August 5, 1998, is READ AND ORDERED FILED.
THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR VIEIRA.
With majority consent of the Council, the following motion made by Councilor Vieira, seconded by Councilor Grebien, is passed on a unanimous voice vote:
The Clerk is instructed to notify the owners of the Cosmopolitan Club, that the informal hearing scheduled for Wedndesday, August 5, 1998, has been RESCHEDULED. THE NEW HEARING DATE IS WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 9, 1998.
The following application for license is GRANTED on a unanimous voice vote:

Church of the Assumption to sell alcoholic beverages at the Annual Church Festival on the Church grounds, 97 Walcott Street, on Friday, August 21, 1998, from 5:00 PM - 10:00 PM; Saturday, August 22, 1998, from 12 Noon - 11:00 PM; Sunday, August 23, 1998, from 12 Noon - 10:00 PM. LIC#34
Upon motion made by Councilor Vieira, seconded by Councilor Hodge, the meeting is adjourned at twelve forty-five o’clock p.m.
