A regular session of the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners is held Wednesday, September 25, 1996, at seven forty o’clock p.m. in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, Pawtucket, RI. All the Members are present and Chairman Barry presides.
The reading of the Records of September 11, 1996, is dispensed with and the Records are approved as prepared by the Clerk.
A Formal Hearing is held on the following:
CLASS A
International Liquors, Inc., 915 Main Street

With majority consent of the Council, the following motion made by Councilor Bray, seconded by Councilor Butler, is passed on a unanimous voice vote:
The Clerk is instructed to send a FORMAL WARNING AND FINE to International Liquors, Inc., 915 Main Street, LIC#10018, stating that any further violations by this establishment will result in further action by the Board of License Commissioners, including additional fines, suspension or revocation of the Class A liquor license.
THE FINE SHALL BE IN THE AMOUNT OF $250.00.

With majority consent of the Council, the following motion made by Councilor Vieira, seconded by Councilor Butler, is passed on a unanimous voice vote:
The Clerk is instructed to send a FORMAL REPRIMAND AND WARNING to Casa DeVicente Inc., 270 Dexter Street, LIC#10187, stating that any further violations by this establishment will result in further action by the Board of License Commissioners, including additional fines, suspension or revocation of the Class A liquor license.
It is further ordered that the following additional STIPULATIONS shall be placed on this license:
1. The hours of operations shall be Sunday - Thursday 11:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.
Friday & Saturday 11:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m.
2. No Entertainment
3. All bars and bar type counters shall be removed within 30 days, except the bar that was there when the license was transferred in October of 1994, which consists of one bar and 5 seats.
4. Dance floor shall be removed within 30 days
5. Bar will be used by waiters as a service bar and by patrons waiting for take out orders only
Communication from Christopher E. Fay, Assistant City Solicitor, regarding J.R. $av-On Liquors (Appeal and Stay) is READ AND ORDERED FILED.
With majority consent of the Council, the following motion made by Councilor Vieira, seconded by Councilor Butler is passed on a unanimous voice vote:
The Clerk is instructed to send a communication to Jeffrey Greer, Attorney, Chief of Legal Services, Department of Business Regulation, requesting that the Liquor Control Division consider drafting legislation to create a new class of liquor licenses for nightclubs and other similar establishments.
Upon motion made by Councilor Vieira, seconded by Councilor Hodge, the meeting is adjourned at nine twenty-seven o’clock p.m.
