A regular session of the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners is held Wednesday, September 6, 1995, at seven fifty-four o’clock p.m. in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, Pawtucket, RI. All the Members are present and Chairman Barry presides.
The reading of the Records of August 23, 1995, is dispensed with and the Records are approved as prepared by the Clerk.
THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR VIEIRA.
With majority consent of the Council, Councilor Vieira introduces the following communication:
Claim of Wayne Distributing Company objecting to the transfer of Class A liquor license to Fernando’s Liquors Inc., from Antonio Fernandes d/b/a Fernando’s Liquors, 558 Broadway LIC #193 in the amount of $2,415.16.
Upon Motion made by Councilor Vieira, seconded by Councilor Kinder, the following communication is READ AND ORDERED FILED:

A Public Hearing is held on the following application for license advertised for this time:

Fernando’s Liquors Inc d/b/a Fernando’s Liquors (previous Owner Antonio Fernandes d/b/a Fernando’s Liquors) 558 Broadway. LIC #193
Speaking in favor are:
Donna Souza, Attorney, 189 Wickendon Street, Providence, RI. Franklin Fernandes, 52 Rand Street, Central Falls, RI. Antonio Fernandes, 13 Driver Rd., Lincoln, RI.
Attorney Souza states that Antonio Fernandes is retiring and is turning the business over to his son, Franklin, who will be running the day to day operations.
Franklin Fernandes states that he will continue with the same hours of operation.
Attorney Souza states that the issue which was before the Liquor Control Administrator regarding this applicant has been resolved.
There are no speakers in opposition.
The Hearing is closed.
Upon Motion made by Councilor Vieira, seconded by Councilor Kinder, the following application for license is GRANTED subject to the payment of all outstanding claims:

The following petition for license is GRANTED on a unanimous voice vote:

Pawtucket Jaycees, requesting permission to sell beer and wine at the Octoberfest on Roosevelt Avenue Downtown Pawtucket, on Saturday, September 30, 1995 and Sunday October 1, 1995, from 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM. LIC#9
THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR BRAY.
With majority consent of the Council, upon Motion made by Councilor Bray, seconded by Councilor Hodge, the Stipulations placed on the Class B (Victualer) liquor license of Elias Dernikos d/b/a City Line Pizza & Restaurant, 590-598 Pawtucket Avenue, are REMOVED, except for the following:
POLICE DETAIL REQUIRED FOR SATURDAY EVENINGS FROM 9:30 pm until 1:30 AM.
Upon Motion madde by Councilor Vieira, seconded by Councilor Kinder, the meeting is adjourned at eight one o’clock p.m.
