A regular session of the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners is held Wednesday, November 22, 1995, at five thirty-seven o’clock p.m. in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, Pawtucket, RI. All the Members are present except Councilors Demopulos, Hodge, and Moran; Chairman Barry presides.
The reading of the Records of November 8, 1995, is dispensed with and the Records are approved as prepared by the Clerk.
A FORMAL HEARING regarding the following establishment is taken up:

Representing the City is Christopher Fay, Assistant City Solicitor
Representing the license holder is William J. Lynch, Attorney, 90 Anawan Rd., Pawtucket, RI.

With majority consent of the Council, a motion to place the following stipulations on the Class B (Victualer) liquor license of Casa DeVicente Inc., 270 Dexter Street, is APPROVED on a unanimous voice vote:
1. Business shall close by 1:00 AM.
2. No Alcoholic Beverages shall be served after 12:45 a.m.
The following application for license for the for period beginning DECEMBER 2, 1995, AND ENDING DECEMBER 1, 1996, which was laid on the table at the meeting held November 8, 1995, is again taken up and is GRANTED WITH THE FOLLOWING STIPULATIONS:
1. Business shall close by 1:00 AM.
2. No Alcoholic Beverages shall be served after 12:45 a.m.

Speaking in favor of the applicant is John Sabatini, Attorney, 716 Central Avenue, Pawtucket, RI.
Attorney Sabatini explains that the license is a bankruptcy situation, and that the license is being transferred by a receiver; therefore creditors cannot object.
He further states that there will be a closing next week on the real estate, pending the approval of the license. His clients will be paying $60,000 in city real estate taxes and $15,000 to the Water Supply Board.
The business will be operated similarly to the old Archie’s. The only entertainment planned is for a piano bar, and there will be no cover charges.
There are no other speakers.
