Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners.

April 5, 1995.

 

A regular session of the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners is held Wednesday, April 5, 1995, at seven fifty-five o’clock p.m. in the City Council Chamber, City Hall, Pawtucket, RI. All the members are present and President Barry presides.

 

The reading of the records of March 22, 1995, is dispensed with and the Records are approved as prepared by the Clerk.

 

THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR VIEIRA.

 

With majority consent of the Council, Councilor Vieira introduces the following communication:

 

Claim of Eastern Utilities Co., against the Class B (Victualer) liquor transfer of Modern Diner Inc., in the amount of $1,270.48.

 

Upon Motion made by Councilor Vieira, seconded by Councilor Kinder, the following communication is READ AND ORDERED FILED:

 

Claim of Eastern Utilities Co., against the Class B (Victualer) liquor transfer of Modern Diner Inc., in the amount of $1,270.48.

 

A Public Hearing is held on the following application for license advertised for this time:

 

CLASS B (Victualer)

 

Modern Diner Inc. (50% change in Stockholders), 364 East Avenue. LIC#191

 

Speaking in favor is Nick Demou, 65 Pheasant Ridge Rd., Seekonk, MA.

 

Mr. Demou states that there are no changes in operation. Due to the death of his father, Arthur Demou, those stocks have been transferred to his mother.

 

There are no other speakers.

 

The Hearing is closed.

 

Upon Motion made by Councilor Vieira, seconded by Councilors Kinder, Hodge, and Demopulos, the following application for transfer is APPROVED, PENDING THE SETTLEMENT OF ALL OUTSTANDING CLAIMS, on a unanimous voice vote:

 

CLASS B (Victualer)

 

Modern Diner Inc. (50% change in Stockholders), 364 East Avenue. LIC#191

 

Upon Motion made by Councilor Vieira, seconded by Councilor Kinder, the meeting is adjourned at seven fifty-eight o’clock p.m.
